Compassion has always come naturally to Melinda Alba, the owner of New Beginnings Wig Salon located in the Houston area. With over 35 years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist, Melinda has always had a true love for hair and making her clients feel beautiful. Having a passion for her work, she asked herself, “ What else could I do to make a difference in my clients’ lives?” After seeing the frustration of her dear friend and client dealing with the aftermath of chemo and losing her hair, Melinda found her answer: wigs. She educated herself on the latest techniques and materials and began creating custom wigs for her clients and anyone in need. Today, Melinda has been recognized as one of the nation’s top wig specialists with a heart as big as her talent.
